We value Spiritual Formation
We believe that everyone is on a spiritual journey. Whether you come alone or to one of our organized group retreats we are here to serve you in whatever way we can. The beauty and serenity of Stony Lake provides a wonderful setting to experience solitude, silence and other spiritual disciplines. Nurturing the inner life is vital to healing and renewal. You will find lots of quiet spots inside and out. Grab a book from the library and sit by the fire, paddle in the quiet bay or wander along the trails listening to God’s voice speaking through nature. Perhaps you would prefer time with a paintbrush or guitar. There is a place for you.
We value Community
The importance of community and relationship is woven into everything we do. Delicious home cooked meals are provided and group sizes are kept small to emphasize relationship building. We want to help you feel at home. Ask us about the unique group building activities and retreats that will strengthen and build trust in your team, marriage or family. Retreats are custom designed according to the needs of your group.
We value the Whole Person
At Kingfisher Bay we recognize the uniqueness of each person created by God. We hope to provide for the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental needs of those who come. Many opportunities are therefore available to you including low ropes, quiet rest, recreation, artistic endeavors, reading, great food, music, exploring nature, physical challenges, and many opportunities to journal, pray and play. There is something for everyone.
We value Leadership Development
We are here to invest in leaders and potential leaders and help them to develop the character, skills and knowledge needed to face life’s challenges. We believe that time apart in rest, relaxation and renewal will strengthen and encourage you to continue in your service. We strive to follow Jesus’ example in serving our world.
We value God’s Creation
Enjoy the natural beauty of Kingfisher Bay by canoeing, walking through the woods or from the comfort of the lodge. We believe that time spent in nature will help to foster greater love for and care of the environment. For the more adventuresome ask us about our wilderness retreats. Bring along your camera or sketch pad to capture the moment.
We value Experiential Learning and Adventure
We recognize that learning best takes place through all the senses. God speaks to us through our everyday experiences as we learn to listen and recognize the lessons that He is teaching us. The outdoors is a wonderful classroom for learning many life lessons.
